Am I already a systeme.io affiliate without knowing it?

What systeme.io states directly

"Once you sign up for systeme.io, you automatically join our affiliate program and are given a unique affiliate ID." That is systeme.io's own wording, and it leaves nothing to opt into.

The same article also carries a "before you start" line about registering for the affiliate programme, and an FAQ confirming you can sign up for it separately and for free. Read together, systeme.io's own page does not fully agree with itself on whether membership is automatic or something additionally registered for. What is unambiguous is the outcome: every account has an affiliate ID, whether it was actively requested or not.

What that ID already does

It earns a 60% lifetime commission on sales of systeme.io itself and its courses, calculated on the price after VAT is deducted. systeme.io's own worked example: a $17 purchase with $2.95 VAT leaves $14.05, and 60% of that is $8.43 in commission.

Lifetime is not a figure of speech here. Contacts you refer are tagged with your affiliate ID in systeme.io's database, and a purchase they make 6 months or a year later still pays out, with no re-referral needed.

Where the referral locks, and where it can move

The lock happens the moment somebody signs up for a free account through your link, not the moment they buy. systeme.io calls this the last cookie principle, but says its own tracking outlasts a cookie: your affiliate ID is stamped into every email systeme.io sends that referral afterwards, so a different device or a cleared browser does not break it.

One documented exception moves it. If that same contact later clicks a different affiliate's link specifically to a systeme.io payment page and buys through it, that other affiliate earns the commission on that sale, even though the original signup is still credited to you.

Seeing your own ID

Go to Dashboard, then Affiliate Dashboard. systeme.io states this is only available to accounts registered as affiliates, and that a student account created purely for course access does not have it.

The one thing it forbids

Using your own affiliate link to buy your own subscription or courses. systeme.io's FAQ states this plainly: it is forbidden to be your own affiliate.

Where this shows up without you doing anything

An affiliate badge you can place on your own funnel pages, and a "Sent with systeme.io" line in your email footer, both use this same programme to send people to systeme.io on your behalf. Neither one is this affiliate programme itself; both are just it, deployed.
