What happens to my products and buyers if I change a funnel's currency?

Short answer

systeme.io says the change disconnects every product, coupon and price plan from the order form, upsell and downsell pages, and that you reconnect them by hand. It does not say what those pages show a visitor in the meantime, or what happens to someone already paying in the old currency.

What systeme.io says happens

Open Sites, then Sales funnels, then the funnel, then Funnel settings, and pick a new currency from the dropdown. Saving that change disconnects every product, coupon and price plan from the funnel's order form, upsell and downsell pages, all at once.

systeme.io's own wording is direct about the fix. You reconfigure them manually afterward. Nothing reconnects itself.

What that means for the pages themselves

An order form, upsell or downsell page that was selling something a minute earlier is not wired to sell anything the moment the currency is saved. Getting it selling again means going back into each page and reattaching a product, a price plan, and any coupon it had.

What systeme.io does not say

Two real questions, and the article answers neither.

What a visitor sees if they land on the order form, upsell or downsell page after the currency change but before everything has been reattached. An error, an empty offer, or something else entirely is not described anywhere in the article.

What happens to a buyer already paying on a subscription taken out under the old currency. The article does not say whether that subscription is touched at all.

A different setting entirely

This is not the same as the account's default currency, set under your profile picture, then Settings, then Payment settings. That default only changes the currency suggested for funnels created after you change it. systeme.io states plainly that funnels which already exist are not affected by it.

Confusing the two explains a lot of "I changed the currency and nothing happened" reports. One touches every page in one funnel immediately. The other touches nothing that already exists.
