Can I move a course in from Kajabi or Teachable?

Kajabi has a page. Teachable does not.

systeme.io's help centre has a section called Migrating to systeme.io. It holds step-by-step guides for five platforms: ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel, Kajabi, Kartra and Podia.

There is no Teachable guide among them.

The page describing the free migration service names no platform at all. It sets the conditions in terms of your systeme.io plan, not in terms of where you are coming from.

What the migration team does with a course

In the Kajabi guide, courses are imported one at a time, including their modules, lectures and quizzes. Once each course exists, it is linked to the sales page that sells it.

The rest of the account is handled in the same pass: funnel pages with their images, videos, audio, titles and text, blog pages and posts, physical products, newsletters and campaigns, contacts and tags, automation rules and workflows, and the domain name.

What it costs, and what it takes

systeme.io offers the migration free of charge to accounts on the Unlimited monthly plan or on any annual plan.

It is performed manually by systeme.io's team. That is how the content moves, and no import format is documented anywhere alongside it.

The published average is 17 days. systeme.io says the real number depends on how much content there is and how complicated it is, and that the agent handling the ticket gives an estimate once the work starts.

How the queue works

Migrations are handled first come, first served. systeme.io asks for the credentials to your old account and uses them to copy the content across when your turn arrives.

Your old account is not modified. Only a copy is made, so the other platform keeps running as normal.

The one instruction is to stop editing. Do not change the content being copied, and do not touch the systeme.io pages while they are being built.

Students do not arrive with the course

Enrolment is the last step, after the contact list has been imported and the domain is in place. Students are then enrolled by automation, based on the tags their contact records carry.

The contact list itself goes to systeme.io's deliverability team before it is imported. They make contact to verify it, and only once it is approved are the contacts and their tags loaded in.

Before any sending starts, a short form asks you to confirm those contacts consented.

Rebuilding it yourself

The other route is the ordinary one. Create the course under Assets, then Courses, add a module, then add lectures inside it.

Two things speed that up once content exists. Lectures can be dragged between modules, and the three-dot menu beside any module or lecture can duplicate it or move it into a different course. Anything duplicated or moved arrives inactive and has to be activated by hand.

Video is the slow part. Each file is uploaded to your account, or pointed at with a URL or an embed code.
