What actually moves when you migrate, and what does not?
Six categories of content: contacts, sales funnel pages, blogs and articles, courses, emails and campaigns, and automation. The platform you are leaving is copied rather than changed, so it keeps working throughout.
The list you get when you ask
Six items, and systeme.io's support team gives the same six that its help centre publishes, in the same order.
- Contacts
- Sales funnel pages
- Blogs and articles
- Courses
- Emails and campaigns
- Automation
systeme.io's marketing page for the service publishes a longer table than this. The six above are what the help centre article and a direct answer from support both commit to, so they are the safer thing to plan around.
What the list does not settle
Those six are categories. They are not a promise that every page inside one of them will come across.
The wording support uses is that the eligible content is copied, and the word eligible is doing real work in that sentence. The migration is carried out by hand by a specialised migration team, so what can be rebuilt is a judgement someone makes about your actual pages.
How to find out before committing
Ask. systeme.io's support team offers a check in advance: send the links to the content you want moved, and they are passed to the migration team, who confirm whether it can be migrated.
That is worth using before paying for a plan, particularly for a heavily customised page, an unusual course structure, or anything built with a tool that has no obvious equivalent in systeme.io.
Your existing platform is copied, not changed
Nothing is modified on the platform being left behind. The content is copied to systeme.io, which means the old platform can carry on being used as normal while the work happens.
One condition comes attached. Content that is being copied should not be edited while the team is working on it.
What does not travel with the contacts
Permission to start sending.
A contact list that arrives through a migration is verified by systeme.io's team before any sending. A short form of a few questions is sent first, to confirm the compliance and consent of those contacts.
So the list moves on day one and the ability to email it does not.
Who the service is open to
The monthly Unlimited plan, or any annual plan. Both the help centre article and the support reply put it in those words, and any annual plan means any tier billed yearly, not only the annual Unlimited one.
One page disagrees. The pricing FAQ lists the free migration service as part of the Unlimited plan and mentions no annual plans on other tiers. Where two systeme.io pages differ on eligibility, the cheaper reading is the one to confirm with support before subscribing.
