Blog
Posts, categories, menus and using the blog as a real website.
The question underneath most of these is whether the blog is enough on its own. Read that one first, because the answer decides whether the rest are worth your time. If you stay, categories are how the thing gets organised. The answers about deleting a category or changing a URL path are here because both do more damage than people expect, and one of them cannot be undone by any route the documentation describes.
- Is the systeme.io blog good enough to replace WordPress? What its own twelve help articles say the blog does, and the parts they never mention.
- What is a blog category for? Not a label on a post. It is a page, with its own address and its own SEO fields.
- What is an RSS feed, and do I need one? It exists already, whether or not it gets used. What is in it, what is left out, and where to copy it.
- Can I put an opt-in form inside a blog post? The documented route runs through a funnel step and a script pasted into a Raw HTML block.
- How many blogs can I have? One number is written down, and it is the free plan's. Where to look for the others.
- What happens to the posts in a category if I delete the category? The posts survive. The category's own page does not, and the warning mentions neither one.
- What happens to the links to a blog post if I delete it? Two options in the same menu, worded almost the same way. Only one of them leaves your own front page linking to a dead page.
- If I change my blog's URL path, what happens to the posts already published? The whole blog moves the moment you save it. Nothing is left behind at the old addresses, not even a redirect.
